Investor Resources

Working collaboratively with the legislature, Governor Doyle signed into law Act 255 (formerly known as SB 261), creating a mechanism to promote capital investment and technological entrepreneurship in Wisconsin. Through tax credits, grants and loans, Act 255 provides growth opportunities for both entrepreneurs and investors.

The success of a new venture often depends on an entrepreneur's ability to establish a network of supportive relationships. The mobilization of financial resources is a particularly important entrepreneurial activity. Informal or 'angel' investors represent a significant source of venture capital.
